Lots has been goin on for the ol’ girl. I’ve been concentrating on killing terrorists and saving the world (your welcome). In other words, I’ve been working on the whole Air Force gig. I am totally down to start blogging again though. So without further adeiu… my 5 favorite cat videos. Because cats are fuckin hilarious. I can haz to laugh?

So as my week wraps up and I kick off my boots for some hardcore chillaxin’ I ask myself ”Tori, what are you going to do this weekend?” I could do any number of things. I could paint, party, clean, read comics, and while I probably will do those things too, I have come to a more important activity conclusion. This weekend I will begin watching Battlestar Galactica for the first time.
The funny thing I’ve noticed about this show is that the people who most highly recommend it are not of my geekly kin. They are straight up NFL season ticket buying-keg standing-give me a hive five then pound it-BROS. It’s made it so I fondly think of this show as not a 45 minute “exemption” from being cool but, as sports fans would relate, a “time-out“.

So I was just ordering a sandwich at the commissary (military grocery store) and after it was all nice and toasty I asked the dude making it

That guy is either a complete dumb-ass or a quiet comedic genius. I like to think it’s the latter to restore my faith in sandwich artistry. So Mr. Smart-ass-sandwich-man, I salute you and your colorful literal interpretation of my completely average request, you made my night.
So I’m bookin’ it up and waistin my time last night and stumbled across some tattoo flash that my bud Tony Medellin did and just had to share it.

Sylvia Ji has been one of my favorite artists’ for a long time, I might actually have a sleeve of her art by now if my friend hadn’t got it first (damnit Lacey!). I LOVE her serene and confident looking women, she is a master of shadows and has a very modern art noveau feel to her.

Okay so this girl Jenni Kallberg (insert crazy swedish punctuation over “A”) is half Japanese and half Swedish, a fatal combination if you ask me, and she has made me appreciate Cosplay. Usually when i see pics of people in costume I think “oh that’s pretty cool” but after seeing her as Samus on Geekologie I have a new found respect for these, what I once thought were “pervs”. I checked her website and saw tons of other quality cosplay stuff including progress peeks which shows everything she went through to create these amazing costumes.
